For math, I think you could use Tripline...Joanne, <br /><br />For math, I think you could use Tripline to introduce the concept of spherical geometry and calculating distances via using the "great circle route." That's what the curved lines on the tripline maps show.<br /><br />I can't remember what level of math I was comfortable with in fifth grade (probably not sperical geometry), but the idea that the shortest distance between two points isn't really a straight line on a map could be pretty intriguing to your students. <br /><br />byron @ triplineAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
